Five people were killed and fifteen others injured in a bomb blast outside the venue of ANP public meeting in Nawshehra.
The blast took place when people were dispersing after the meeting concluded which was addressed by Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti and other leaders of ANP. Police said the bomb was planted on a motorcycle that was parked on a road near the venue of the public meeting. Soon after the blast police cordoned off the area. The injured including police personnel were shifted to district hospital Nawshehra. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani have strongly condemned the blast in Nawshehra. The Prime Minister has summoned report of the incident. Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti and governor Barrister Masood Kausar have also condemned the blast.
