The Program US-Pakistan knowledge corridor established in June 2025 as a result to provide education in the field of science and technology and in medical field for Pakistani students, the government of Pakistan envisions enhancing enrolment in higher education up-to to 5+ million by 2025 and outreach of HEIs at district level. For the purpose of providing top level education for Pakistani students and the number of students 10,000/-.
The 10,000/- Pakistani students will be get scholarships in the field of doctoral studies in top level universities of United States of America.
Currently HEC is focusing on sending 1500/- PhD scholars to the leading US universities from Fall session 2026.
Admission Schedule
• Fall 2025: 20 July 2025
• Spring/Summer 2026: 15 Nov 2025
• Fall 2026: 30 April 2026
Eligibility criteria:
- Pakistani AJK nationals
- The applicant having minimum 4 years bachelor degree BS/B.sc / BE / 16 years of formal education).
Age limit:
Maximum age on the closing date shall not exceed, 40 years in case of regular government employees / regular faculty members of public sector universities and government colleges / regular researchers of approved R&D organisations 35 years in all other cases. The applicant must not be availing any other scholarship.
Valid GRE general score minimum 300 in total or HEC HAT score minimum 60 %.
Have completed MS or MPhil or equivalent degree 18 years of education from HEC recognized university.
Have acquire GRE and ToEFL scores that is required for admission in US universities
Candidates have already secured admission or enrolled in PhD program in top 200 universities in the above field may also apply for scholarship.
Have an active commitment to serve the universities / R&D organizations in Pakistan after completion of study.
