Siachen incident occurred northeast of skardu the capital of baltistan. Chief of army staff Genaral Pervaz Kayani visits to siachen and he wants to escape the solders. The total 124 Soldiers and eleven civilians buried by a Himalayan avalanche. More than 200 army soliders are reached to siachen for escape the soldiers. 
The avalanche of such a magnitude was unprecedented in the last 20 years of this Battalion Headquarters’ existence at Giari, said Gen Kayani. Major General Abbas said the headquarters which was buried was located in an area previously believed to be safe. At an altitude of around 4,500 meters 15,000 feet. It is the main gateway through which troops and supplies pass on their way to more remote outposts.
